Your questions answered
How long can I stay in Spain without becoming a tax resident?
If you spend more than 183 days per year in Spain, you automatically become a Spanish tax resident and are taxed on your worldwide income in Spain. Below that threshold, you are a non-resident and only pay tax on income arising in Spain.
I’m British and own a property in Dénia. What taxes do I pay?
As a non-resident, you pay Form 210 annually for deemed property income, even if you don’t rent the property out. If you do rent it, you pay tax on the rental income. We apply the Spain–UK Double Tax Treaty to avoid paying twice.
Can I contact you in English?
Absolutely. We advise in English both in person at our Dénia office and remotely by email or video call. All documents can be provided in English if you prefer.
